The Downtown Orlando Partnership (DOP) will be hosting the 28th annual Golden Brick Awards luncheon on March 7th, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the historic Ballroom at Church Street. The Golden Brick Awards recognize community and development projects that have positively impacted Downtown Orlando in the previous year. DEVELOPMENT OF THE SOUTH TERMINAL COMPLEX REACHES NEXT DESIGN BENCHMARK

Construction activity will begin soon on the $1.8 billion South Terminal Complex (STC) Phase 1 Terminal C at Orlando International Airport. As the project advances toward the anticipated building phase, the design phase is nearly two-thirds complete. The design team of Fentress Architects, HNTB and Schenkel Shultz recently reached the 60 percent threshold, with only two design benchmarks remaining. This year’s winners will be honored at Springboard Consulting’s 11th annual Disability Matters North America Conference & Awards Gala to be held April 25-27, 2017, in North Miami, Florida. The honorees represent the Gold Standard when it comes to the commitment required, and actions necessary, to successfully mainstream disability in the workforce, workplace and marketplace. The honorees serve as the role models we all strive to become.
