Leu Gardens Calendar of Attractions


Orlando’s very own botanic oasis, Leu Gardens, is hosting an incredible evening of jazz and blues under the stars. The annual Jazz’n Blues Concert will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. featuring Robert Harris Group, Beautiful Bobby Blackmon Band, and Aloma. The three bands will be performing in three areas of the 50-acre gardens. Pack a dinner picnic basket full of your favorite foods and drink and alcohol is permitted. Seating is recommended, either chairs or blanket – this is an outdoor concert event.

Advance Tickets on sale October 2, 2019, $15 plus tax general admission, $10 plus tax Garden Members (members may purchase up to 4 tickets at member prices per membership). Tickets day of will be available online or at the door Saturday, October 19, 2019, for $20 plus tax each, if not sold out. Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable to other garden activities. Sugarbuzz Dezert Company will be selling delectable desserts and locally roasted coffee. Free offsite parking and shuttles available at Blue Jacket Park off General Rees from 6:00 – 10:30 ,pm.

There are whispers in the wind that the great fairy migration will be happening again at beautiful Leu Gardens this summer! Explore the 50-acre gardens to find where the fairies live. This whimsical exhibit will feature twenty one-of-a-kind fairy doors which will inspire your child’s imaginative world of mythical forests and secret gardens. All you have to do is fine these beautiful doors and let your child’s creativity do the rest.
The fairies will call Leu Gardens’ home from June 1 – September 30, 2019.
Save the date for the Fairy Festival celebration, a special family evening event in the gardens Friday, August 23, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. We will have night-hike through the gardens with fairy landing stations, crafts, scavenger hunt for the fairy doors, and each child can make their very own fairy garden! Admission to the Enchanted Fairy Doors Exhibit is included in the daytime garden admission: $10 adult, $5 child (ages 4 – 17 years). Experience movies outdoors in Orlando’s most beautiful garden! Leu Gardens offers an amazing and unique setting to see a classic or current feature film. Each month from February to December, no movie in July, Leu Gardens hosts a movie night at the floral clock on a 32 ft screen, weather permitting. Movie goers may bring dinner picnics including alcohol and seating (chairs or blanket) then sit back and enjoy an outdoor movie.

Best of all, Leu Gardens opens early at 6:00 pm on all movie nights so movie goers can stroll the 50-acre gardens before the movie. Movie times vary: for February, March, October thru December movie time is 7:30 pm. Movie time for April thru August is 8:30 pm. September’s movie time is 8:00 pm. Grilled items, popcorn and drinks are available for purchase.

Garden admission: $6 adult, $3 child (ages 4 – 17 years) and free admission for Leu Garden Members. Leu Gardens is located at 1920 N. Forest Avenue, Orlando, 32803.

Story Time at Leu Gardens is a fun approach illustrating to young children the benefits of reading through songs, rhymes and books. Story tellers from Orange County Library System share a variety of ways to engage your child into playful reading. Story Time is for families with infants to 5 years of age. It is held the first Monday of each month (no Story Time in July 2019 and September 2019) and is free! Hundreds of families participate each month in this amazing and imaginative story time event. The event runs from 10:00 am – 11:00 am with three age appropriate sessions. A big Thank You to Advent Health Centra Care Kids for sponsoring this amazing free event to our community.

Story Time at Leu Gardens was started in the summer of 2005 through a partnership with Orange County Library System and Leu Gardens. Orange County Library System’s story time program is designed to inspire children to enjoy books and to help parents/caregivers teach and bond with their young children.

Story time age sessions:

10:00 – 10:15 am 10:20 – 10:35 am 10:40 – 11:00 am

Infants to 18 months (5 minute break) Toddlers (5 minute break) Preschoolers

Haunting Tales, Friday, October 11, 2019, 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Gardens’ gates open at 6:00 p.m. for those who dare to venture in early. Goose-bump stories begin at 7:30 p.m. for all ages followed by an intermission, and then the wickedest of storytellers will come forth, one by one, to spin frightening tales that will raise the hair on your arms. Warning: stories told after intermission might not be suitable for young children under 12 years of age. Children 13 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Ticket holders may bring a dinner picnic basket and alcohol is permitted. Seating is recommended, either chairs or blanket, this is an outdoor event, weather permitting. Grilled food, drinks and “treats” will be available for purchase.

Purchase advance tickets online only at leugardens.org starting September 23. Admission: $10.00 per adult, $8.00 per Leu Member Adult & $6.00 per child (ages 4 – 17 years). Children 3 years and younger are Free, please register online for a free ticket. Sales tax is included and online fees will apply. Tickets

are limited. Tickets will be sold the night of the event, if available, at the Gardens’ Welcome Center.
