Back to School Celebration’ hosted by District 5 Orlando City Commissioner Regina Hill to help thousands of youth’

 

What: Commissioner Regina I. Hill hosts her annual “Back to School Celebration” at the Callahan Neighborhood Center. Orlando City Soccer, Orlando Magic, Levy Restaurants, Coca Cola, A1Orange, UCF, Second Harvest, and Steps in the Right Direction’s tennis shoe program will join Commissioner Hill in providing essential school supplies to thousands of youth (ages 5-18) in District 5. Starting the school year can be exciting but stressful as many parents struggle to afford the necessary supplies. Since her election, Commissioner Hill has provided nearly 4,000 backpacks to prepare students for the first day of school.

 

Backpacks, school supplies, free food, and name brand tennis shoes will be available, there will also be several vendors on hand with educational resources, health & wellness information and community resources. Families are welcome to enjoy free food, entertainment, as well as FUN for youth and adults.

 

 

When:  August 10, 2019

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Cost:   Free and open to the public; Limited supply – “While Supplies Last”

 

Registration on day of event:

 

1.     Parent/Legal Guardian MUST BE present

2.     Child/Student MUST BE 5-18 years old

3.     Child/Student MUST BE an Elementary – High School Student (PS-12)

4.     Valid identification or proof of school (School ID preferred or Report Card)
