The Mennello Museum of American Art will hold their fifth annual Indie-Folkfest presented by PLR Florida this Saturday, February 16th from noon to 5pm. It’s a FREE, all ages, event for people and their pets from noon to 5 p.m. in the Mennello Museum Sculpture Garden.
Indie-Folkfest is the Mennello Museum’s signature outdoor event featuring local, regional and national art, music and cuisine as well as live music from some of Central Florida’s most notable musicians.
Shannon Fitzgerald, Mennello Museum Executive Director shares, “Folk Fest raises funds for the museum’s education initiative and it allows our community to experience some of the best local food, art and music they may not experience otherwise.”
While the event is FREE to attend, be sure to bring your wallet because Indie Folk Fest is full of affordable art and handmade goods and includes some of the area’s best artisanal food vendors and food trucks.
In addition to the art and food, there will be raffle baskets and packages that include tickets to concerts at Amway, 2 roundtrip airline tickets, a weekend rental of an exotic car as well as attractions tickets, art, entertainment and gift cards. Raffle tickets are available for purchase during the event and you must be present to win.
Don’t forget to bring the kids! There will be an art project station and a communal fence painting zone for young ones and the young at heart.
Offsite parking will be available at Urology Center, Magruder Eye Clinic, McCree Construction and Florida Hospital Alden Garage. But you can bring your bike or use your favorite ride share too.
