JONATHAN KILMAN APPOINTED TO FSHCC BOARD OF GOVERNORS & CHAIR OF ITS NEW STRATEGY COMMITTEE

WELLINGTON, FL. (August 2, 2017) – The Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of Jonathan Kilman to the Chamber’s Board of Governors and the Hispanic chamber’s newly-formed Strategy Committee.

Julio Fuentes, President and CEO of the Chamber stated, “We did our homework and Jonathan is regarded as a widely respected and visionary leader who understands the intersection of business and policy in Florida. FSHCC is proud to welcome Jonathan’s leadership to our board of governors and our newly formed Strategy Committee.”

Kilman voiced his appreciation and excitement about the newly forged relationship, “The Florida State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has grown in its status and stature in Florida, representing the interests of hundreds of thousands of small, medium and large businesses throughout the state. Last session, the Hispanic chamber was instrumental in passing several high-profile issues such as ridesharing, and is poised to expand its influence upon the Florida policymaking landscape. I’m proud to be a part of its continued success,” said Kilman.

The Strategy Committee is the latest program elevating the chamber’s profile in the public eye. Fuentes offered a glimpse of what the Hispanic chamber will be doing with the launch of its new committee, “Our strategy committee will be a driving force for the Hispanic chamber’s public education and advocacy efforts. We are currently one of the largest Hispanic chambers in the nation, but that doesn’t mean we are satisfied. Our appointment of Jonathan will ensure we will continue to grow and prosper on behalf of our statewide membership,” said Fuentes.

Kilman commented on his appointed post as chair, “Corporate leaders cannot map out the future of Florida without considering the extraordinary impact and contribution of the State’s Hispanic business community. The Strategy Committee will synergize our state’s talent, energy and commerce to grow Florida’s economy,” said Kilman. “Not only is Florida the recognized gateway to the Americas, but we have become the landing point of choice for Hispanic people looking to pursue their hopes and dreams in our great nation.”
